Anita’s work is often autobiographical and emotive. It is important to her that her images represent real life and emotion.
“I like layers and cracks and celebrate non perfection” – “I will often wash the paint off of the canvas many times, leaving an unusual residue. Some canvases have been painted over again and again, producing layers, cracks and inconsistency.”
