SUE PARR

Susan Parr uses her art to find personal resolution to contrasting thoughts and emotions. The art pieces in ‘Perspective’ are mostly work that has been created during Lockdown, with Parr trying to make sense of these unprecedented times. Parr’s sculptural work is made from recycled, found and natural materials which inspires her and adds depth to the pieces. There is always hidden ‘treasure’ such as crystals, stones and feathers inside her work.   Email:sparr@ymail.com Instagram: @auntysueart

KNAPPLE

Knapple is an infamous local graffiti artist, her work is colourful, “in ya face”, fierce and fun. Her work can be irreverent but in contrast can also carry important social/spiritual messages, she hasn’t put herself in any boxes and so is free to explore whatever subject matter her heart desires. This new body of work ‘Perspective’ looks at how subjective art is and especially graffiti as a medium, there are often very strong views on what is beautiful and what is abhorrent and Knapple finds this fascinating. ANITA STAFF

Anita Staff is a painter, specialist photographer and socially engaged artist. She has been described as a ‘gritty realist’ producing deeply emotive work. It is often autobiographical, exploring body image and self identity using herself and emotions or a reaction to injustice, a voice. For this exhibition she has produced her first installation exploring the effects of people’s perceptions and invites the audience to take part. She says: “I like to address the complex impacts of stigma, trauma and objectification of people in society and how that affects our very being, I hope the work demands your attention and questions your perceptions” Instagram: @ffatsatina http://www.ffatsatina.com
